How IFRA certification ensures safety

The IFRA (International Fragrance Association) develops a set of rules based on scientific findings that is binding worldwide for manufacturers and suppliers of
fragrances.

A fragrance may only bear the IFRA seal if:

  • all ingredients are registered and tested

  • certain concentrations are not exceeded

  • known allergens and risks are taken into account

  • Application security is ensured in different environments

For our customers, this means maximum transparency, proven quality and the security of working with a responsible partner.

What does this mean for room fragrance?

The crucial difference: With professional fragrance application, your skin doesn't come into contact with the fragrance. The molecules are finely distributed through the room air and don't remain permanently on surfaces or the skin.

Therefore, most common types of allergies—especially contact allergies—are not relevant with proper scenting. Our systems precisely dose fragrances without overwhelming the room.

What is a fragrance allergy?

A fragrance allergy is a hypersensitivity reaction of the body to certain aromatic ingredients – usually in cosmetics, perfumes or cleaning products.

In most cases, this is a contact allergy, i.e. a reaction of the skin to direct contact with a certain fragrance.

Typical symptoms are:

  • Redness

  • itching

  • Eczema

  • Skin rashes

These reactions do not occur through inhalation, but through direct skin contact with the allergen – for example through creams or perfume.

MANY FEAR FRAGRANCES BECAUSE OF ALLERGIES - WE CLARIFY.

Fragrances are often suspected of causing allergic reactions – many people report headaches, skin irritations or breathing problems in connection with room fragrances or perfumes.
This concern is understandable—but it is often based on misunderstandings. At Reima AirConDept, we take these concerns seriously and strive to build trust through sound information and transparency.

Not every fragrance is automatically safe. That's why we focus on tested quality and safety – for people, spaces, and brands.
All fragrances we use comply with the strict guidelines of the IFRA (International Fragrance Association).

This globally recognized organization defines clear safety
standards for fragrances and regularly checks their
health and ecological compatibility.

This means that our fragrances are not only effective – they are also responsible.
